Tony DiMauro (BSc, M ApFin, CFTP)
Chief Executive Officer

Responsible Manager under the AFSL Licence

Tony has an extensive background in financial, investment and capital markets having worked in a variety of roles from the management of investment banking treasury operations to the broader areas of portfolio management and risk management with several major Australian companies and banks.

Over the last ten years, Tony has lead his team on considerable challenges leading to the application and approval of an AFSL licence and the significant growth of both funds and management and retained earnings.

Tony is ably supported by an Executive Team whilst working closely with the established offices within Uniting Financial Services of Internal Audit and Compliance and Risk.

 

Cathy Tunbridge
Chief Operating Officer

Cathy joined Uniting Financial Services in January 2005.  Cathy has direct responsibility for the Service, Relationship, Marketing and Information Technology Teams within Uniting Financial Services.

Prior to joining Uniting Financial Services, her career spanned some 22 years in banking, specifically with National Australia Bank where she was exposed to retail and business banking, private banking and electronic banking as well as international cash management and treasury. 

The second half of her career was spent in the corporate and institutional banking segment, specifically responsible for managing domestic and global relationships in the financial institutions sector such as investment banks, ADIs, insurance companies, fund managers and government.

 

Matthew Moore (B.Ec M.Comm)
Portfolio Manager

As Portfolio Manager, Matt has responsibility for managing the Uniting Financial Services balance sheet. Prior to joining Uniting Financial Services he worked with the Commonwealth Bank and McIntosh Securities in the interest rate derivatives market as a Senior Trader.

Employed in the investment industry for over 17 years, the last ten with Uniting Financial Services, Matthew has a wealth of experience and solid understanding of financial markets, balance sheet and capital risk management principles and Investment Asset Allocation fundamentals. 

Matthew represents Uniting Financial Services on various committees including the NSW Synod Investments Monitoring Committee; The Christian Investors Advisory Forum as Chairperson; and the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia.

 

Paul Malek
Commercial Lending Executive

Paul is responsible for the management of the Uniting Financial Services’ Commercial Lending portfolio and Team, managing commercial loans of approximately $700m. Paul also sources new business, as well as maintaining relationships with service providers including solicitors, brokers and portfolio management agencies.

Paul has over 20 years experience in banking and finance across major and regional banks and non bank financial institutions, with the past 13 years exclusively in the commercial property finance sector.  Paul has undertaken a broad range of roles including sales, relationship management, arrears and recoveries.

Paul has close ties with many commercial property related contacts such a specialist lawyers, consultants and valuers ensuring current and industry relevant knowledge is maintained.

 

Scott Armstrong (B.App.Sc. (Land Econ), AAPI)
Commercial Property Portfolio Manager

Scott is responsible for the overall performance of the portfolio of Uniting Financial Services’ commercial property assets and the management of the Uniting Financial Services’ Commercial Property Team.

This includes strategy development and implementation, asset selection, strategic disposals, due diligence, risk management, systems and processes, management of the valuation cycle, market analysis and forecasting, feasibility analysis and strategic development management.

Scott brings to Uniting Financial Services over 20 years experience in all areas of real estate management across the commercial, industrial and retail sectors. Scott has previously held senior roles within the listed and wholesale property trust business of ING Real Estate, DEXUS and FKP Funds Management.

 

George Tarantilis
Manager, Risk and Compliance

To ensure ongoing compliance within our unique regulatory environment, Uniting Financial Services has a dedicated compliance manager, identifying and managing risk while also raising risk awareness across the organisation.

George has over 12 years experience in the financial services industry, with experience in both compliance and operational risk developed through working with large financial services organisations including Bank of Scotland, ING Australia and Westpac.

George provides a common sense approach to Compliance and Risk which engages the business in discussion and debate of identified risks to achieve a solution that benefits the investor and Uniting Financial Services while meeting regulatory requirements.

 

Vincent Sita  (BComm, CA, CFSA)
Manager, Internal Audit

Vincent reviews and monitors all internal controls and processes within Uniting Financial Services, reporting directly to the Audit, Compliance and Risk Committee. The role provides investors with assurance that internal controls and processes are adequately designed, implemented and operating effectively.

Vincent brought to Uniting Financial Services over six years experience in financial services, working primarily in the audit and advisory discipline for banking, insurance, superannuation and wealth management companies.

Vincent has a high level of technical accounting and auditing competency, including A-IFRS, ASAs, Control Reports, Sarbanes Oxley, Corps Act, SIS Regulations, AS 4360 and AS 3806 – 2006.
